just build my first c&c cage for my 2 piggies
wondering what should i add more to the cage?
and is the cage big enough for 3 piggies?
its size is : 140 x 70 (cm)

Welcome to the forum
here is our cage guide and info on housing. If you of thinking of housing 3 piggie please make sure they are sows as boars should only live in pairs. Male threesomes is a very difficult bond and very liable to fallouts and fighting. Boars need to be housed in pairs only. A neutered boar can have a harem of ladies 😀

A cage of 140x70cm is fine for two sows. It’s a little too small if your piggies are two boars though. Two boars need a minimum of 150 but recommended 180cm.

A cage of the size of yours is not big enough for three piggies though. Three sows together or two sows with a neutered boar need a cage of 180x60cm.

If you have two boars, then as above, you cannot add any more piggies in with them as three boars together is usually a disaster.

I'm not an expert but that looks like a pretty good amount of space for two (could be a bit bigger though) but I wouldent think that it would be enough for three since they can get very territorial(I used to have two males and they fought alot since they didnt have enough space- one even got some of his ear ripped.) which can lead to fights.
 
Id add more along the edges for them to run through. And fleece curtains/corner tents/tunnels are fun :) You can just use clothes pins and fleece strips to make lots of different hideys for them that will add color and interest for them and you ✨
 
That's a lovely space for 2 females, nice high sides for draughts 😊 I'd add cover over the hay as they need to graze a lot on hay and they're prey animals, and I'd have more hay.

I know this doesent have to do with your question but i would reccomend you get paper bedding becouse its alot better then wood. Its more absorbent and has less dust(its also alot more comfortable and keeps your piggy warm during the cold months) . If you want to use wood then just make sure its only aspen.
Ps. I'm not an expert but ive owned multiple guinea pigs :)
 
Hi. Great cage. I couldn’t see any water bottles. I’m sure you have one. I’d make sure there were two water bottles and also a tunnel to run through. 😃

i switched to it acutaly. some of the part is wood i had left but like 3\4 of it is paper bedding
