I have new pups that I'm bottle feeding due to mommy didn't make it and I wanna make sure I'm doing everything right>? Can someone please help me

Are they eating on their own now?

If they can, then you could get them to drink out of a saucer or a spoon held up to them. Maybe if you have another guinea pig they can live with then it might help them learn to eat and drink. You can give them goat's milk to drink.

I'm sorry you lost the mum, and really hope the babies do ok, good luck

Milk, milk replacers, including goats milk, aren't generally recommended - have a read on the guinea lynx link why not.

Oxbow Critical Care is a must have.

I know they aren't recommended on guinea lynx, but a lot of people on this forum recommend and use goat's milk (not not cow's milk or milk replacer)
 
Evaporated milk and water 50/50 we just added a couple drops of orange juice and ground pellets to the milk to help...I'm worried that I'm not feeding them enough or to much, along with all three are trying to suck on the runts umbilical cord and I'm afraid it's going to hurt the little feller....

Feeding them evaporated milk and water 50/50 just added little bit of orange juice low acid and crushed pellets to help them, my main concern now is am I feeding them enough and no they won't eat regular food, they only want the bottle, I feed them every 3 hours and now the other 3 pups are trying to suck on the runts umbilical cord and I'm afraid they are going to hurt him/her, don't know what to do..So I could use any help I could get...
 
you need to give them more pellet than milk really. try to increase the crushed pellets in your mix, maybe alternate with veggie/fruitbased baby food off a spoon? pop viggies in with them and some soggy pellets they should start to eat them in between feeds that should encourage them. You also need to encourage them to toilet but i am not sure how I'm afraid so sorry. I know DAFTSOCTSLASS said about milk based substiturtes but I think Goats milk is the closest to piggie milk but the sooner you can get them on to proper food the better. Again Critical care/science recovery is a must too. Good Luck

See the links in the Guinea Lynx page for information on this. Regardless of "a lot of people" recommending it there are better substitutes e.g. spoon feeding Critical Care and offering water.

ABSOLUTELY NO orange juice should be added as this could end up with them having diarrhoea and getting even more dehydrated.
