Need Floor Time Advice!

Heya!

Just wanting to get advice and know how you all do floor time with your piggies?

How long do you keep your piggies out for floor time?

Pics would be helpful too!

I have my pigs downstairs at the weekends and they have a smallish pen as a base and I let them out onto the dining room floor. They're generally out for between 1-2 hours three times a day, depending on what we've got going on

They like running behind our floor length curtains and have chewed the walls a bit, but they don't pee on the carpet!

They are adorable! Did you make the pen yourself? Or purchased?

I'm not sure where to find one like yours in New Zealand! Likely just going to get like a dog play pen one to use.

My piggies have gone under our couch and peed there before so I'm worried they will pee on the carpet I don't really care but my flat mates do.

I let mine free roam.The poo everywhere is annoying but that's what my Hoover is for lol

Mine come out for about 4-5 hours a day, usually in the evening. They have a huge run that keeps them safe and it's about 4ft by 14ft (2 runs joined together). They love to run around for some time, then they have a sleep, then they eat some hay, then run about again and so on. Often I will sit in the run with them and let them climb over me and explore me. I also give them a few hand fed treats (veggies) to help them become more friendly with me. I've only had them 2 months so we are still getting used to it all

The fabric pen is from zooplus but we made the barrier - I have no doubt ours would go under the sofa and pee too!

I think we're just lucky that they don't pee on the carpets, I think most pigs do!

If there are areas more likely to encourage peeing you could put down pee pads or towels there?
