This morning when I woke up I normally would give my babies veggies to start the day off but I noticed one of them had blood in his back from where he has a bald patch but I'm guessing he either bit himself or scratched himself to hard? I'm definitely going to take him to the vet this upcoming week to have him check out. But I just wanted to know is there a way to clean the blood? Do I use water or anything else? Or do you guys have any tips?

You can use saline solution to disinfect and clean the wound. Either get sterile saline form the pharmacy or make it at home by stirring 1-2 teaspoons of salt into 1 pint of of boiled, cooled water.

It is like either the beginning of mange mites, fungal or an accident, but it is impossible to tell at this stage.

Thank you I'll try that! I took him to the vet once and they did say it was mites so they treated him and my other guinea pig but it never worked for them..
