We are going to take Lexi and Thea away with us when we go for long weekends away in the caravan. I already have a Ferplast 120 cage for them but I was also looking for a lightweight, foldable, portable run that's not a C&C cage. Something like a kids swimming pool with a removable base so that I can wash it easily. What does everyone recommend please?

I have a fabric pen with a removable base. The pictures online from when I bought it show it being used on grass, but I’m not sure I’d trust it not to blow away or them not to push under it

I also have one of these although I admit I rarely use it these days but they make perfect foldable runs. Just make sure you get the one pictured @Betsy as some of them don’t have the removable base. The one pictured also has a water bottle holder which is handy as some of them don’t.. I tried mine on the grass once and Erika managed to escape (luckily I was there and managed to catch her) so wouldn’t trust it outside unless you’re around ti supervise. Also, make sure you get the biggest one as the smaller ones may be too small

The middle one is the largest one they have in stock atm. Would that one be large enough?

I’ve got one similar to this. It’s 116 x116x58. I used it for my 2 boars during the heat wave when I had to move them somewhere cooler and it had room for 2 hideys and lots of hay with space around to run. I put fleece liners over the removable base but only coz they’re used to fleece. Next size up would give them more running space if yours are active but measure your caravan first 😂

Having chased up my order twice I received notification this morning that my Zooplus order has been lost so I've asked for a refund. I'm not happy at this at all as you can imagine. Can anyone else recommend where I can get a run from please? @Bill & Ted 130cms won't fit in the caravan and the 90cms one would, I feel be a bit small.

Oh no 😢 I’ve looked at mine but there isn’t a brand name on it anywhere bizarrely and I cannot recall where I got it from. I’ve looked through all my old Amazon orders and it doesn’t look like it came from there. Sorry that’s not much help.

Yes mine is a whopper! I have to fold a section sometimes to fit in the space depending on where we are staying. A four foot would be ideal mines 5 ft dia and a little bit too big. Got mine on eBay, will have a look and see if there’s anything suitable on there

Yes 114cms is fine Jane. Most of what I've looked at so far is around 90 cms and that is too small. 120 is the maximum space I have so I'm looking at between 100 and 120. I've seen a couple on Amazon between £70 and £80. They annoying thing is the one on Zooplus was around £55 for the same thing!

Judging by the number of near identical ones that came up on a Google Lens search, many with meaningless 'brand' names, they are probably all made in a massive factory in China and sold on by multitude of faceless resellers there via platforms such as Amazon and wish.com.

Hope you can find a suitable alternative as zooplus let you down, @Betsy

I've the medium fold up run,it's fine for 3 piggies.igotmine from zooplus a while ago.the bottom unzips, can be machine washed.i use tent pegs to place on lawn.though i had fleece liners made to fit
. I hope you find what you need.

That's the one I ordered.. I chased it up with Zooplus after a week and then again after 10 days and they said it had been lost. This one is a bit smaller than I would have liked. The bottom zips off and it has the hole for a bottle too.
