I have 2 male guinea pigs 4.5 year old brothers. Last night I noticed 1 of them was very quiet at feeding time, didn't even come out his bed which really isn't normal, he's normally the first 1 out weeking away. I opened up the bedding box and he was just laying there, his eyes sunken, I brought him out and have tried syringing water but he's no better. I have a appointment at the vet at 4.10pm today the only time I could get in. Is there anything else I could try he's making grunting noises when he's breathing now and I can't stand the thought of him suffering.

I would ask the vet to see him earlier as an emergency as he doesn't sound very well at all.
I agree with Helen, please ring the vets and have him seen as an emergency as quickly as you can get him there!
