He was absolutely fine yesterday but my daughter has just noticed he was holding his leg out behind him and sure enough his back legs have gone yet again for the 3rd time since July.:...

Oh no, whats the plan of action? Back on the calcium? Hope he is ok, give him a kiss from me. x

Yes I will give him some Osteocare again and see how it goes. If its the same as last time then he usually regains the use of them within a couple of weeks so I'm hoping that he does. He seems bright enough and is eating well. I have purposely kept any platforms out of his cage so that he can't jump onto them hoping that this might help but it's still happened.:(

Thanks Louise.:)

Oh no, so sorry to hear this - what caused it last time? Poor piggy. Can he walk at all?

I'm not sure what causes it really Sophie. I read it can be lack of calcium but he gets all the same veg as my other piggies and they are absolutely fine. He is an older piggy though so maybe this might have something to do with it - he was five a few weeks ago. He pulls himself along using his front legs and seems to manage okay, it doesn't seem to be bothering him.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to little Nemo again! I've read that this can happen because the piggie's body cannot absorb the calcium so this is why it is a lack of calcium. I hope the osteocare works for him. Please keep us informed xx

Bless him, hes one of my favs, I'm keeping everything crossed for him. x

Nemo says thank you to everyone for his get well wishes.:)

I've cleaned his cage out and he's had his osteocare so fingers crossed he will soon be back on all four feet again.

Yes he's done it again for the 3rd time.rolleyes I feel better knowing that it's probably only temporary and he will regain strength in them like he did the other times - well here's hoping anyway. He's not in any pain though and eating well and he had a big kiss and cuddle when I gave him his osteocare - he likes his ears kissed.:))
