Looking for a cage for my two boys for over winter when they come in from the hutch. Thinking about a Nero 4. Anyone got any advice/opinions on this please?

Yes I think a Nero 4 would be perfect - they look good strong cages and you can buy stands for them too. I've got a Nero 3 on a stand with just one piggy in but the Nero 4 looks a lot better.:)

Yes, I agree. I have two girls in a Nero 4, although not on a stand; and one piggie in a Nero 3.

My boys live in Nero 4s - Garry and Minty in one, Benjamin and Dave in the other. One I bought new from Pets At Home but I found the other one on ebay.

They have plenty of space in there - each pair only has one pigloo, but even with two they'd still have room to run around and stretch their legs. Strong cages, good deep tray at the bottom although they still manage to kick stuff all over the floor. I'm definitely reverting back to fleece! (Single bed sized, folded lengthways and tucked under newspaper at either end fits a treat!)

mine have a nero 4:)
its really good and easy to clean out and fix back together
i really recommend it8)

2 of my boys are in a nero 4 its plenty big enough for them to run laps around when they are having a mad moment :)) id recommend it :)

I bought a rabbit sunshine cage from Zooplus when they had them on offer but I much prefer the Nero cages if I'm honest although I got the cage for £26.99 which wasn't bad really I suppose but I'm not keen on the fact that instead of a door that the whole front lifts up and Nemo who is in it always stands on his back legs when I open the cage and I have to be really careful that he doesn't fall out.:(

Thanks Nemo, just followed your link. Quick scan of ebay, and if no Nero 4 cheaper on there I am going to order later today. Thanks again everyone for help. x

Anyone any idea what METHOD NOT IMPLEMENTED means? I think I just pressed the thank you button to Nemo?

Well, somehow or other I managed to convince my parents to let me move the guinea pigs from their outdoor hutch into the house over winter rather than just the into the conservatory! Gladys is 14 weeks old now and Elsie is about 11 and half weeks so they're still only little really. They moved into their Nero 4 this afternoon and seem to like it but are a bit quiet and confused by the change. I hope they'll get used it to it. The cage is fantastic, strong and looks like it'll be really easy to clean. :)

I would love a Nero 4 but I've persuaded o/h to buy me two Lavender Lodges this summer so don't think he would be too happy at a Nero 4 too.:)) Wish I could think up a good excuse why I needed one.rolleyes

I went into our local pets at home for dogfood today and the Nero cages are all in the sale there too as well as online.:)

I'm going to either get mine a Nero4 for Christmas or try and make a C&C cage - only it needs to have a lid as I have 2 cats. My 2 poor girls are in a Nero3 and its not good so I leave the cage open so that they can come and go as they please if they need to escape for a while. Which would be cheaper..Nero4 or C&C?
