Nervous!

Piggies have a vet appointment in 45 mins for a general check up and nail clip (they have had the nails done before so i'm not nervous about that). We have no piggy savvy vet in our area, I spent half a day ringing most of the vets in the area and neighboring area's with no luck so I guess that's what i'm nervous about as I don't want them to misdiagnose something if there turns out to be something wrong. i'm familiar with this clinic though as I used to take my cat there once in a blue moon as she was seldom sick but they were always good with her but cats are common at vets. A colleague of my partners also takes her piggies there so that is a little comfort. I'm also a bit apprehensive as the last time I went to this particular vet I had to have my cat pts so it holds some bad memories. Anyway wish the piggies luck with their visit. At least I won't come home covered in cat spew this time lol.
 
Aw bless, good luck to you all! I'm sure it will be fine, you can always mention your concerns and if they're a good vet they could do some research into pigs for any future visit :)
 
Actually he turned out to be quite knowledgeable about guinea pigs but a bit awkward in handling them and Patchy almost ran herself of the table twice and kept wiggling to get away so I ended up holding them while he examined them. Coco was totally chill through out the whole thing which I was suprised about because she's bitten nurses before. Perhaps it was my expert piggie holding skills. Anyway i got all my questions answered and the piggies got a clean bill of health except Patchy has a tiny bit of pre dental disease but he wasn't too concerned for now and they have brand new mani-pedi's.
 
So glad it went well and you were happy with the outcome! Bet it's a relief for you :)

I always bring a washing up bowl when I take Bella to the vets, the others are fine but she always tries to hurl herself off the table :))
 
Glad it went well and that like you said, could have been worse, no catpuke showers this time :D
 
My heart still hasn't slowed down after Patchy trying to dive off the table twice. If she were a cat she would only have seven of her nine lives left lol.
