I’ve just read on a rescue page that a neutered boar can’t live with an un neutered boar. After 12 years of guinea pig ownership, I never knew this

I always thought that if I was ever left with an neutered boar, I would consider another boar as a friend if they got on but obviously, that can’t happen

Can somebody please explain to me why this is? I’m just interested.

TIA

Of course a neutered boar can live with an unneutered .

I think someone has got their wires crossed and the original “statement” was that there is no need to neuter boars for them to live together . 🤔

Thank you both. I did wonder if it was true but I assumed it was as it came from a well known rescue 🤔
