neutered today, possible impaction... help

Hi all,

Colin has been neutered today (he's my foster piggy).
He seems to be having some problems pooping. When he tries to poop just a little bit comes out at a time and his bum looks kind of clogged up, excuse my tersm, its not the easiest thing to describe. Poor little fella is happy in himself, trotting arounbd, eating, drinking etc all fine. If things are no better by morning i;m taking him straight back to the vets. Just wondered if i could do anything to help him. I'm a little wary about handling him as he is very skittish and i'm frightened of hurting him as he only had his op today.

I think it's due to the anasethetic, my Toddie did poop after his op but not as he did, he too was eating, drinking etc. The next morning he had pooped properly but he did lose weight after his op too, i took him back to the vets & he was given the all clear & he has since gained the weight he lost & is back to his normal self

He wouldnt have eaten as much as he would normaly, so this might be the reason that he hasnt been yet. Some times it takes guinea pigs a good 24/48 hrs to recover from their op. I work at a vets and dogs that have been castrated tend to be back to normal within hrs!
I had my 2 castrated the other week and it took one of them a few days to get back to normal and I even had to syringe feed him for a bit. I wouldnt worry too much as I am sure ever thing will be ok by morning. The body dose slow down a bit with anasethetic. Give him piggy hugs from us all!
