How much do the vets charge for neutering? I might be considering it for spunky so he can have a few lady friends :) I have a really big space (1.63m by 2.38m) so I think I should have more than two piggies....

The cost can vary between vets, but the highest cost is the risk on your piggies life, it isn't something you should walk into lightly because you want a few more pigs, it's something you really need to look into and think over, as although many pigs get through it fine, it's risky, and i wouldn't recommend unless your male piggy will absolutely not accept another male after 4 or 5 attempts with different pigs.

If you have more than one male in the same space (partitioned or not as it's smelling distance) with sows, they will most likely, sadly fight :(

You could always just have 2 males in the large cage, giving them plenty of popcorn room :) (lovely big cage by the way :)))

The neutering of my male was £81, but it's not like shopping around. The only way to get an actual price is to ask your vet. The only places that should neuter your pig should be a vets that you trust to be cavy savvy and have a good reputation and record when neutering pigs. I've known people who have 'shopped around' with a detrimental affect on piggy.

If you don't have a good cavy savvy vet, then I wouldn't even contemplate neutering your boy. As Twiams said, it's only really a last resort and I'm sure he'd love another little boy :)

The only problem would be the smell of females will cause the males to fight for them ? a partition would allow them to see and smell the girls so it's unlikely it would work as it would really test your boys relationship however, you could partition a couple of times and have a few pairs of males in each section, maybe have 3 sets ? this way they'd get alot of space to roam around in and this would reduce any fighting etc.
Although not all males like to be able to see other males so you may need partitions that you can't see through (:
