I've decided to get my male guinea pig neutered. I've looked at the 3 local vets, two quoted £45, one including a 2 day and 10 day check up. The other was around £56. I was just wondering what the general cost usually is for this operation.

These costs are about average. What is much more vital than cost is to find either a general vet with lots of practice in piggy neutering or an exotics specialist with experience in small furries operations in order to minimise the otherwise still rather common risk of neutering post op complications. I would strongly recommend to make your enquiries on that score; it really makes a huge difference as to who you choose!
