Hi,
I’m not sure this is the right place to post, so apologise in advance.
Woody my gorgeous friendly guinea pig was neutered on 3 days ago. Before his neutering he was very, very friendly, very talkative and loved being handled. Since the op, he is like a different guinea pig, he hasn’t squeeked once for food, I am struggling to get him out of his home and when I’ve managed to get him out to give him his pain killers, you can see in his eyes he really doesn’t want to be handled.
I’m hoping it’s just because he’s still in pain from his op. However would someone give me some reassurance this is normal?
He’s back at the vets on Thursday for a post op check up, and will ask the vet then if he’s the same.
