Theo is almost 1.1kg and 10 months old and he sends his congrats to Burnie on his successful neutering and future marriage :) Theo loves being married but he says if you marry 4 ladies and can smell another secret one somewhere in the hooman's house then husboar life can get quite complicated... hopefully 1 wife is quite straightforward!

Burnies ears have just grown to the size where they have flopped 😁 he looks like dumbo now. Bit off topic to the thread but never mind.

Christian and Dennis say life is even more complicated when you share 3 wives!

Burnie likes to go to my wife more and dot is friendlier with me. I was the one who had dot out on my lap everyday when i first got her from a very young age.

Let me know how it goes👍 good luck.
Does one boar and one sow have the highest success rate?

There's always a risk a bond won't work but neutered boars and sows have a higher success rate. I don't think you're going to have any problems with your two. It sounds like they're desperate to be together

when it comes to the bonding day, should i bond on fleece the same size as the new cage is going to be?

Yes, so long as you’re bonding them in nuteral territory with a big pile of hay. If you want to give them hides, make sure theres more than one enterance.
I will have a freshly washed fleece, folded to the size of the new cage, with a perimeter fence of some sort, and I'm going to get a couple of boxes with 2 holes in each to cut out.

When i didnt know how dangerous it was to get dot and burnie out together, long befoe burnie was neutered this is what they were like.

. Burnie chased dot out of every hidey and wanted to own them if he see her in one. Then they would eventually settle in one each, then after around an hour they would share a hay cookie or eat from the same pile,

Also burnie would sort of groom dots ear for a few seconds, then she would sort of warn him with a false nip and burnie would start popcorning, then she just followed him around loads.

When i went to catch them they would hide in the same house together

One week tomorrow 👍 better start getting the new cage sorted 🤔 This will be my first time having two pigs live together. I had two boars in the past that had to be split.

Ive never fealt like a proper guinea pig person before because of this. I hope it works!
No more boredom for dot and burnie
