I got my guinea pigs last easter, and i use to handle them alot now they wont let me pick them up i try to but they just kick and run away.

Anytips

Well what you could try to start with is building up the bond with them again like you probably did when you first got them.
So:
1. Talk to them
2. Let them sniff your hand, maybe put some veg on your hand and see if they come on and take it
3. This is what i do to get my guineas out for lap time, i have a log and they go in that then i lift it into a box then stroke them in there -- i must admit with grandad who is very calm he has a sensitive back and often might scurry away or flinch but you sometime have to be firm for them to be safe so i rub behind their ears, and massage their backs and they really enjoy it.
4. Sometimes things like this could mean there might be something wrong with him, or something might hurt when you do pick him up so it might be an idea to go get him checked out at the vet.
5. Finally just really spoil them and keep trying, and eventually they might come round, just remember its a guinea pigs first reaction to flea so you just gotta keep trying!

Let me know how it goes at [email protected]
Good luck xx

Best start from scratch again. Talk to them gently and all the time, establish a picking up ritual (preferably one where you do not have to hunt and catch them, give them losts of praise for encouragement, make cuddle times relaxed by letting them crawl under a towel or small fleece.

How loud and wild is it in your house? Or have you been handling them too roughly?
