Never Thought I'd Have A Piggy Do This

She's beautiful! I love those wee feet! I'm struggling at the moment to even attempt to handle my trio. They're happy to sniff around me but are really hand shy.

Cute! some piggies really love it!

Just as a general reminder for anybody attempting this: When trying tricks like these, make sure that the head is always above the small chest so piggies can breathe easily and the strain on the heart is not too great. ;)

Yes Wiebke, it's a bad camera angle (Trying to take a pic with my other hand!) She is not lying on her back btw, she is lying on her side whilst held against my supportive tummy :D Her head is resting on my arm & her body lower, it's just the way she was sticking her feet up whilst I stroked her, it was lovely :D

Be patient :D It takes ages to hand tame piggies, because Sukie is a rescue she has been fostered & handled by her foster family a lot, I can't praise them enough :)

I'm really looking forward to some lap time with mine, I know it will take time until I'm at that stage. I'm still just sitting in the run & talking to them. They've nearly had my whole life story! When they've had enough of me Teddy head butts my knee & I know it's time to leave. I love seeing photos like these:)

I know that you are doing it right, but many people wanting to try it for themselves won't be aware just how important it is to make sure of! ;)

Yes I agree, this is very unusual in all my piggies I've ever had, this is a first where one is so chilled out :D People should never hold a piggy on it's back for a start it's not natural for them at all. Sukie seems to enjoy having her feet tickled as well, I caught her chooken leg this morning poking out from under their blanket & spent 10 minutes just tickling her feet, she didn't even move :D

I'm completely new to Guinea Pigs & their feet and ears are so unusual to me but so adorable! Ziggy was stretched out earlier on & her ears were fluttering like Elephant ears. Fascinating little animals, I'm going to gain so much by owning them:)

So my new rescue girl Sukie is really very friendly, she will let me tickle her paws & stroke her side & tummy whilst in her home, so when I cuddled her I couldn't quite believe she was letting me tickle her tummy, she was purring like mad whilst I did it :D Look at those lickle feet lol :DView attachment 46084
Aww, she looks so cute!

:DI'm a huge David Bowie fan! My 3 were Zig, Zag & Teddy in their previous home. Decided to keep Teddy as Teddy, Zig changed to Ziggy and Zag to Duke (from The Thin White Duke)

Oh what a funny adorable darling! :luv: :) such a great photo!
