For those of you who have been following the Bulging Eye thread.

I took Neville to Vet No. 2 for a check up this morning. We saw a different vet from before. Neville was full of beans and the good news is he and his eye have been given a clean bill of health. The vet was most impressed with the treatment I followed :))

I have to apply Beaphar ointment (which has Vitamin A) to keep his eye moist, and I am keeping on with the aloe vera and belladonna for another week or so.

The photos speak for themselves, one photo shows his eye over 3 weeks ago and the others were taken today.

what a difference, with such a truma(sp?) like that to an eye there might be a small chance he may need "false tears" which I'm lead to believe is a moisture drop as sometimes there eye might stay "dry" after it goes back to been normal, but Ive had simlar pigs with eyes like like, mainly due to sharpe straw as owners didnt know any better rolleyes but as yet all have gone to recove well and get full use of their eye back, and havent needed flase tears

You are a star!

I am so happy that Neville is still alive and with his eye as well! All the best for a full recovery!

He looks so much better. You must be so relieved. He is a very handsome boy

Really well done - and an excellent set of pics.
Could the pics be put on a 'sticky' thread so that they don't get lost?
Piggy eye injuries can just look so awful and I wonder how many pigs have had their eyes removed unnecessarily.

Looking so much better! Good on you for doing so much for him. Glad to hear he is doing well!
