I have a new addition to my wee family - a little ginger piggie called Toby. He is from a girl at work who's daughter had become bored with him (he's a G-force piggie). She was going to advertise him for free on Gumtree or Preloved but I managed to persuade her to give him to me. I'm going to let him settle in for a while, then he'll get the snip so that he can move in with my 2 girls.

I've only had girls before so I am absolutely delighted to have a boar and he is just fantastic. He's not at all shy and was eatting/drinking within 5 minutes of coming to his new home.

I gave him a bath today as he was stinking and he was an absolute angel - my girls wriggle and try to climb up my arm - but he just sat there and actually looked like he was really enjoying it. In fact, I think he was gutted when it was all over. Then when he was on my lap getting dried off, he was blethering away. I can't believe the difference in him and my 2 girls.

AWWW - he is a handsome boy! Best of luck with the op. I'm sure that Toby will love having girls for company!

Thanks - apparently my local vet has a trained rodentologist so I'll make enquiries when the cats get their jags in the next couple of weeks. Failing that, I'm sure there is one in Edinburgh. I'm aware it's a major operation for such a little animal so I want to make sure I get the best before committing. The girl who I got him from is also paying for his operation - which I thought was really nice as she didn't have to.

A new home AND two girlfriends! Hope he settles in nicely x

Lol - yes, he got a little excited earlier at meeting the 2 girls. I've had to put a board between their 2 cages as he was going mad trying to eat through the bars to get to them. Just having the board between them as calmed him back down again. At least he can still talk to them.

Dindy says Hi handsome.
