New additions to our family

We are hopefully going to pick up Drake and Travis from the Blue cross at Burford next week. Never had boars before, so will be asking lots of questions, I am so looking forward to having piggies in our home again after the loss of gorgeous Abigail and Rosie.

All the best!

You have to brace for generally more rumble-strutting and mounting; which is not just dominance behaviour but to an extent how boars express their 'boarliness'. I divide my own boars into 'mountaineers' and 'rumble-singers', depending on their preferred way of expressing themselves. The more dominant characters are generally more often mountaineers while the others are more likely serenaders.

That’s great news. I’ve only ever had boars. They are fab. Make sure you have two or more of everything. Two exits from hides and when I clean them out I always leave some dirty hay in there to smell of them both. Also I always feed and handle the dominant piggy first. Can’t wait to see lots of pictures.

I’ve two sets of boars and there just as equal as females, they all have different personalities and ways, couldn’t live without them now, hooked , enjoy them

Congratulations 🎉
I have boars and sows and quite honestly there's no difference between the two. They get equally as big, eat just as much and just as fun, loving and cheeky. Can't wait to see photos and hear about their adventures ☺️
