Parallel to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, there have been meetings by members of the Pig UN, although not all members could make it due to the erratic weather conditions!

The secretary general found that the acceptance of his latest propositions concerning the redistributions of global resources didn’t receive a great echo...

...and despite using some power persuasion ...
IMG_5066_edited-1.jpg

...even new members wouldn’t fall in with him!

After the secretary general had left to rethink his position, the remaining members settled down to politics as usual.

Sadly, things got soon out of hand as only too well known major cavies started to exert a stranglehold on fast dwindling resources!

(Please wait for the next instalment!)

However, some members were successfully lobbying for a different approach to the global problems...

... not escaping all jostling for position, though!

Which led one disenchanted member to reflect that perhaps the secretary general’s new policies might be worth SOMETHING, after all!

so so cute and so so funny you really have a knack and maybe you should write a newspaper column!

Simply wonderful, Wiebke - you take fantstic pictures, and certainly have a way with words. I love it.

:)) well that cheered me right up, the snow is falling and sticking so I really needed this hun :(|)

wheres Cariad?is she ok? i love how your piggies get on and also pose for you :)

Cariad is OK; she's just still very timid and simply doesn't come as far as the dining table most of the time. I'm trying to lure her out to it by putting her portion furth into the living room a tiny bit every day, but she freaks if I acknowledge her presence! rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

Great pics and commentary - really made me laugh :))

Good to see Fflur tucking in and obviously making her views known :)

Every now and then, she does come out, but the next day she has a panic attack again! malletheadmalletheadmallethead

Wiebke, this HAS made me smile.

Thanks and your turn of phrase is just as excellent as usual...

Oh my goodness, I'm totally in love with Ceri now. That last photo is stunning. x)

Love the latest Pig UN news, things clearly didn't go as smoothly as every cavy had hoped (great action shot of the secretary general and Fflur) but it doesn't change the fact that each member of the herd is simply gorgeous. :rose

How do you round them all up when its cage time again? I can imagine Nerys taking charge and leading the other piggies back to the cage.

No, it is a lot simpler than that - I serve "night night tidbit" (little chunks of cucumber and celery) back in the cage and there is always a stampede for that! Most of the piggies actually turn themselves in for the night anyway - they like it nice and tight. With the new cage, they spend a lot more time "at home" than they used to, anyway.

It is hilarious to watch the mob gathering by the living room door when they hear me in the kitchen and then racing after me to the cage with lots of excited squeaking and chirping. I have become a consumate Pied Piper indeed! :(|)

I can also count them while they are munching away and make sure that they are all in!

oh my, she's gone and done it again! SIGH she should've known if it was one of your threads Auntie Wiebke there's sure to be 'you know what's' rolleyes:))
