Here she is, my new little one...

What a beautiful little face, how could anyone NOT want her? I expect she's very WANTED now xxxxx>>>

Bless her ... she is a darling! x)

Do I see some roan markings on her back? What a pretty face!

I wondered about roan markings.... she seems very healthy and full of beans, so I don't think that she is lethal or anything.

She is most definitely wanted now! Already she has been singing and wheeking, eating and drinking, and trying to chew through bars of hutch.

Having roan or dalmation markings doesn't mean that they are lethal. It is just if you mate roan to roan or dalmation to dalmation that you run the risk of a lethal. If you mate a roan or dalmation to a solid colour, then you are ok.

I had a lovely satin roan called Bonnie many years ago ... she was absolutely lovely. A bit lively ... but lovely!

I look forward to seeing more photos of Lily in the coming months xx

I'm really bad with breeds, and I'm not sure I understand the full lethal thing at all! But I was sure that Lily is fine. Her eyes are big and dark.

She is now full of beans, charging round the hutch, squeaking and wheeking. She is up at the bars talking to Riff who is up at the bars next door. It's lovely. I do hope she and Nigel will get on...

Lily is definitely not a lethal so don't worry.

Lily sounds a right little character ... very similar to my Bonnie ... I am sure she will have handsome Nigel wrapped around her little claw in no time! :)):)):))

I do hope so! Nigel was supposed to be friends with Rocky but that was a disaster - all Rocky's fault, surprise surprise.

She's beautiful. Roans / dalmatians bred with other roans/dalmatians have a genetic problem which creates 'lethal' babies, white with small or no eyes, usually blind and / or deaf, problems with teeth etc.

But Lily is fine! And gorgeous. Well done for taking her, hope she settles in well

PIGGIE TOOTSIES ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh xoxoxoxoxoxo

My mum named her! She likes flower names. And I think Lily is a very pretty name.

At the beginning of the week I had no idea this was happening. I had a text from one of my friends telling me about her, and now here we are!

She is adorable! Of course she will love Nigel, can't wait to see photos of them together! x)x)x)x)x)x)

She is wonderful Lucinda, well done for offering her her forever home, she doesn't know how lucky she is - but she soon will. Sending her wheeks from the Millstone gang.x)

OH Nigel is going to lurve Lily x)x)x)

...........and she's going to be completely knocked out by Nigel's good looks, charm and his gorgeous flowing locks. They will make a fab pair.

She looks quite tiny, is she very young?

Love the name too x>>

She is quite young, younger than I first thought. About 18 weeks I think.

Who couldn't be knocked out by Nigel? I was! He is so gorgeous and gentle.

She is very lovely! A roan. Are they quite rare? I haven't met any before, I don't think.

He will tomorrow! I only have R and R here (and Lily now) because of the house inspection today....

My Bethany is a blue roan sheltie! look at my previous threads and I'm sure the one about their cage has a photo of her! i dont think roans are rare!

Aw Lucinda, I'm so pleased you managed to rescue her. She has gone to a great home - what a lucky girl!
