Meet my adorable newest arrival, Nimue!
In the last weeks, the tiny fluff ball has not only made it - against all the odds - through a near fatal stroke, but also a massive eye infection immediately afterwards. Unfortunately, this has left her with a permanent head tilt and minimal or no vision in her affected eye. Sadly, it also means that she is now simply too frail to rejoin my friend's big herd in the dedicated shed again, so she has come here as a permanent foster for the remainder of her life; how long or short that may be!
She is currently settling in with my two largest, but rather placid sows Iola (who has very similar colouring) and Hafren. My friend wanted Petal to have a proper Welsh Tribe name (there is no Welsh word for "petal"), so we have chosen to name her after the Lady of the Lake in the Welsh Arthurian legend instead!
