Five little surprises arrived last night/this morning...

Here they are with their mums, Fluffy and Scruffy. Only one piggy has a name, Hope - I hope she/he will survive :smitten:

Aww they are stunning!
Baby one is a Black and Golden Roan, baby 2 is a Golden Roan, Baby 3 looks like a bi-colour, baby 4 looks like a tri-colour and hope is white, either pink or dark, I cant tell.

Thanks everyone!

and thanks for the info, Emma. I'm not up on what's what at all in the guinea pig world - they're all cute, cuddly, squeeky, adorable baby piggy wiggies to me!

My fave is 2 as well, and then number1. That's only by 'looks' though and not personality! They are simply adorable, you are so lucky. :)

Sweet babes! Love number 3 and Hope praying so hard she makes it. Do you think she may need hand feeding if she is struggling?

Good luck with them!

Hi Louise,
I don't know how to hand feed. What should I do? Hope is much smaller than the others and only one of her eyes is open - the other is closed. Even so, she's running about like the others and looks like she's suckling from mum OK. How can I tell if she's in trouble and needs my help? I would hate for her to suffer...

Have a look at this thread, there is some great advice there. Some will say goats milk is ok others say critical care which you can get from a vet. If Hope is still with you in the morning I would contact your vet for advice.

Also dont' syringe feed, feed off the back of a tea spoon or the handle.

But do look at that thread Sian's mini's were all ok but mum wasn't feeling tip top after the birth.

Good luck!

Awww there all gorgeous.

My babies wouldn't take the cc so i gave them lactol of the back of a spoon think Hope will need some help hun. *Hope* they are all ok esp her x :smitten:

awwwwwww CONGRATULATIONS :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
All paws crossed and heaps of encouraging wheeks and loves to all the mini's and their mummy, special ones for little Hope :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

they are real cuties, perhaps give hope some extra suckling time with mum. when ours had 5 babies, we would take tiny the runt out with one of the others and give them 30 minutes suckling time, then next time it would be mum and a different sibling and so on. hoping they all make it especially hope, something special about the runt.
sending hugs and cuddles, prayers and good vibes :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*
