Adult Guinea Pig
A friend I work with is always rescuing bunnies, and a month or so ago managed to end up with 4 guinea pigs, unwanted, all kept together! Of course the 2 girls were pregnant. One of the young mums died a few days after having a boy. The other girl had 3 healthy babies, one boy and 2 girls. So the orphan and the boy are very happily bonded, only a few days different in age. The very young Mum is housed with one daughter. My friend really is short of space, so she asked me to take the other girl. I have a big spare hutch so I got her a friend and they are getting on well I have named the white one Jeni, and the Ginger one is Fiz. Or Jennifer and Felicity. Housed well away from Bertie I might add! Jeni is so comical she races round the hutch, popcorning, and Fiz just watches her. They are fine together but I dont think they are sleeping together yet. I did catch Fiz cleaning Jeni, like her mother would do and yet there are only 2 weeks age different. Photos to follow but they are skittish and I dont want to alarm them.
