hello,

I've had a shorthair male piggy for about three weeks , and I just recently brought a new baby in so my first one won't be alone. I've seen the new one drink water but haven't seen him eat. And when I hold something out for him, he doesn't take it. I'm a little worried! He's a baby and he's super shy. Will this regulate?

Babies, or indeed any new piggie, can take a while to settle in.
But if you are quiet and gentle, and always offer small pieces of tasty veg they will come around in the end.
Before you know if you will be posting on here abut how they are driving you crazy with their wheeking!

Thanks for the help everyone! He drinks ALOT of water and has been eating a little bit. The older one (Peanut) and him(Rusty) have been getting along! I saw peanut take a quick nip at rusty's ear but for the most part they've been playing and cuddling

The nip will be to put junior in his place, he was probably being a bit boisterous, he will be eating, just not when your watching. Check the cage, there will be poops of different sizes.

Yes! He's pooping regularly because I see little poops compared to peanuts bigger ones. He's doing much better. Still shy, but I can tell he'll be really loving and outgoing once he settles. He's doing much better than my older one did when I first brought him home. I'm hopeful!
