My guinea pig Cinnamon is 7 years old. Recently he's been pushing his igloo to the edge of the cage and sleeping with his face in the corner. He's never done this before recently, it started up this month. Besides that he's still eating and drinking as usual. He leaves his igloo to get food and water. He seems okay and healthy, but I don't know, I'm kind of concerned? Especially because he's getting up there in years. It could just be that he slept there one day and decided he liked the location, who knows.

Given his age it could be that he is in pain or something. Might be worth a trip to the vet to rule it out. Older piggies definitely enjoy their comforts so hopefully it’s just his favourite place to chill.

I always worry when they face a corner. Is his weight ok? Hopefully it’s just a comfy corner.

It could be worth a check up to put your mind at rest.

His weight seems all right. I've been weighing him daily and he's still chunky and happy it seems. I am taking him to the vet this week though. Hopefully nothing serious! Thanks for the responses.

Seven years is a good age for a piggie! You must be looking after him really well. Hope the vet gives him a clean bill of health.

My oldest piggy was The One and Only Thea who was 8½ when I had to have the vet help her over the Rainbow Bridge.
