I have just been observing the boys and noticed something I’ve not seen before. Popcorn (the submissive) has just started preventing Dexter (dominant) from mounting him, noses in the air, squeaking at each other, Popcorn ran off, Dex followed and tried again and then it looked like Popcorn was going to attempt to mount Dexter but he didnt, it looked as if he thought better of it and then went the other direction. I threw a large bundle of hay in and they both started eating it next to each other. Normally Pops lets Dex mount him and get on with it and then everybody is fine but this is new. Am I seeing the start of a power struggle? I know they are in the height of teenage times and I will obviously keep an eye on them and I have grids in hand ready to separate should it come to that, it’s just that up until now Popcorn has been very submissive.

They are in a 25 square foot pen with 8 square foot upstairs area in the shape of their hutch.
