Today I picked up a new member of our guinea family, he's 2 years old and i had no idea the conditions he was living in were so poor. they were good people but just didn't understand or research and i am just glad he has a better home with me. he has already tried nipping me just from the one time i picked him up to transfer him to his new home but i am hopeful he will warm up to me and the other piggies soon enough 20141019_140140.webp 20141019_140144.webpthis small plastic container was his home. he's loving the C&C .. now for the fun part I NEED NAMES i prefer real names rather than things like "fluffy" excited to bond with this piggy:yahoo:

I cannot believe he was living in that! How awful. It is so lucky he is with you now. As for a name, how about Henry?

Oh my word that is awful :( so glad you have him now and he has a proper amount of space to run about in.
Henry
Harry
Hugo
Stanley
Charlie

i'm emailing her right now, it is just terrible he has been gnawing at the cage bars and not knowing what else to do i feel so sorry for the little guy, those are all great names!

How's about Willie? There used to be a coiuntry & western singer called Boxcar willie.... he's gone from box to car, now he's willie happy to be living with you in all that space! poor little fella, i'm so pleased you took him in:nod:

Jerry, chester, Henry's nice like the others suggested too.

Very handsome

Oh my word. Cannot believe he was kept in that! Poor thing must have been going out of his mind! It's crazy how people think that is acceptable!

thank you haven't had experience witth guineas under 1 year old OR males for that matter so the luck is well needed!

That ridiculous! How could anyone keep a guinea pig in that? I'm sure he's loving the space you have given him :)

when she was emailing me she said she put him in a clear cage and kept him there because it was easy to pet him, i hadn't seen the cage until i got him today i was not too upset more excited to see how he would love his cage, but i feel like it is such a big change he is confused , he is a big boar and the only other males i have are itty bitty maybe a month or 2 old. i don't get how anyone could do it either :hb:

Oh my god, what a disgraceful condition to be kept in, poor little guy! He has certainly landed on his feet with you!

does size matter with piggies? don't want anyone bullying. also, can i get him neutered at age 2 or

he has a crush on Dabs my little girl that looks exactly like him it's too cute  also his name is Kief :P

Lucky boy! Sadly, tiny totally unfit cages like that are not at all rare; at least his was clean and obviously changed out regularly even though there is no sign of hay or housing, poor mite! :(

He is a very gorgeous boy and will hopefully come round with patience and persistence. The cage biting is due to him wanting the get to the other piggies he can smell.

What about Beau, Belamy (i.e. "beautiful friend"), Robin or Rufus?
