Today two handsome boys came up from Jenny of Crawley Rescue and escorted by flips - Sharon. Lovely to meet you both :)p

I am going to leave them to settle and find their feet in the 'sideboard' cage for the next 24hrs and let get used to the smells and sounds of our household.

These boys will be up for rehoming soon through BARC and Pigtures to follow soon.
:)

And then we went to Cavy Corner fun day at Doncaster ... so a piggie day was had by all.

:)p

I must have missed you there. I was chatting to Jenny and Sharon on and off.

It was great to meet you too, Paula. And your gorgeous piggies. (Paula's piggy set up is fabulous and I am a teeny bit jealous... I feel the need for some C & C remodelling :(|) ).

Thank you for taking these lovely chunky boys. I know they are going to love their time with you. Great joint working between Crawley GPR and BARC.

Just to add, these boys were advertised for sale on ebay. The seller responded to my email and removed them from ebay within 2 hours of me contacting her. She was very happy to hand them over to rescue but was not aware that there were guinea pig rescues. She brought them into rescue herself. So, if you do notice an ad, please contact the seller with suggestions of their local rescues instead of reporting them straight away. :)

What a good outcome for these boys! Thanks for letting us know what happened with them and sounds like you all had a lovely day! xx>>>

The e-bay boys! Good job the owner was well adviced and decided to hand them in to the rescue ~ Often it is a case of giving out information and hope they make the right choice for the Guinea Pigs.

The boys have had a few cuddles and I bribed them with dandilion leafs. They've also had a good few hours in a large excercise run this afternoon and I'm getting used to each of their personalities.

Just got to think of names, my daughter has decided what she likes but I'm still undecided.

The most often comment I get with piggies coming into rescue is 'I didn't know there are guinea pig rescues'
We try and get the name out into the community here but this is just in Crawley and the surrounding area. The more the word can be spread about rescues nationwide the better. People seem to know about dogs and cats but anything else is not as well known.

paulas set up in her dining room (well pig room) is great. Even while we were standing talking the boys were exploring and messing up their new accommodation, typical! One boy had old bite wounds but I would imagine this was either due to tooo small accommodation or fight for food in their past life as they were lovely bonded boys whilst here, no fights.
I doubt they will remain long in rescue, thanks Barc and paula for taking them in.

They do get on very well and share the same snuggle sac and last night I was ooo-ing and arrrrh-ing as they were both laid together with their head touching and very relaxed.

Barc has a 'pudding' naming theme going on with the Rabbits so Georgia, my daughter was rooting for the names Rhubarb & Custard, thats the problem with involving all the family into choosing names we go round and round in circles one person liking one name others not, so - we have all agreed on Bert and Ernie this morning - which was helped by a lovely lady Sam that reluctantly handed over Meego & Ugo into Barc through no fault of her own. So its now charged to a childrens tv programme theme!

Here they are -
