Spoke to our Burgess rep, now these things claim to be a substitute for hay and pellets, I personally can not imagine never giving my piggy hay ever again and they cost £6.99 for ONE WEEK of food, now I love my baby but £6.99 a week before veggies is very expensive, just wondering what people think about them especially those with several piggies xx

I will probably try them out of curiosity, but I would have to be very impressed to pay that much on a regular basis! An occasional cube might be a good form of environmental enrichment. I wouldn't want my piggies to miss out on the fun of diving into a fresh box of loose hay, though.

Our rep usually provides me with samples as my pets tend to be resident product testers LOL I will be interested to see what they are like

i also saw these in the pet shop. i think they said it was a weeks food in one cube. i just have images of putting one in my boys cage and it being munched in 24 hours! :)p

I've seen these before, I was tempted to buy them as they don't do the standard Blackcurrant and Oregano pellets in my local P@H. But there's always the chance that they won't like them, or that they'll get through them very quickly.
The website says that, for rabbits, they've tested them and said: 'An average size rabbit will finish a food cube in about 2 days'. I don't think they'd be suited to my piggies though :(

1 cube is being marketed at around 2 days worth of feed/hay NOT 1 cube for a week, i think they would be squeeking by then:))

Haven't seen them but always like to try new things with my lot - they like the FibaFirst sticks as a boredom breaker so have them a couple of times a week.
Only thing I find reading about these cubes that bothers me is if it is a substitute hay/pellet diet, surely one of the most important care of piggies is their diet ? I actually really enjoy preparing their pellet bowls etc, take pride in the food they have not to mention seeing my piggies munching and foraging in the hay baskets
Just strikes me as another 'quick' fix for the busy person :( :...
I'd buy them just to see how the piggies find them but am happy with what they have daily (and they don't complain either rolleyes)

I think I'm gonna try them out as an occasional treat, give the piggies something new to try.

I have some and will be trying them later. Exciting!

I'll try them as a treat (at that price they would be a treat), but wouldn't stop putting their hay in - they love tunnelling and playing in it so couldn't deprive them of that :) and I use different hays to keep them munching on it. They seem to get bored with the same hay rolleyes
