So, I bought my cubes and went to buy choroplast here in the U.S.. I was looking to make two pig c&c cages for my piggies, as I have 8 now and soon to be 9, and two bunnies coming this week. So, I went to buy the correx and the cheapest that a 4x8ft piece was 80$! I said HELL no on account of the fact that I needed two!
So, I went to the local dollar store and bought some "tiles" - they are meant to tile a kitchen or bathroom floor or something, and I cut them all down to size. I tiled the bottom of all the c&c cages (made two, got one more to make) with the tile and then put cloth down on top of that and hay on top of the cloth. It's a FANTASTIC alternative! I take out the clothes and piggy poos once a day and replace them with new clothes.. works sooo well and my piggys love it compared to the other cages that we've had.
I'll have to get pics but I thought I'd share this with everyone because if you don't have the money or are making multiple cages (the cost really adds up!) then this would be the way to go in my opinion.. 17cudes cost 15$, and the tiles cost 1$ for 3 tiles.. Amazing!
