Hi all - newbie alert. We have had our piggies for a week and have got them this awesome new cage - Medium (2x3.5 Grids) / Loft

They also have a hammock, a lettuce leaf "bed", cavy caves... but I have just realised that there is nowhere for them to actually sleep/hide in. They have the caves and a log tunnel thing but they can't do that together...

Any tips would be great. Already spent over $500USD so keen to avoid any more big expenses if possible...!

No cage pics yet as waiting on fleece liners to arrive and then need to wash them four times before we can use them.

Thanks :)

They do have a plastic “house” from the cage they came to us in... was going to discard all of that but perhaps best to re-use and will also be familiar.... and I can save another $40 by not buying a handmade Hidey Hut from Etsy!

They will sleep in any of those and I agree with everyone else cardboard boxes and paper lunch bags work great! My guinea pigs have a fleece tunnel, fleece forest, and a lettuce leaf bed. They love the fleece tunnel and if I put the lettuce bed under the fleece forest then they will sleep there for hours! Hope this helps.

Ooh good idea I might put the lettuce leaf under the fleece forest, as a hidey but I forgot I ordered arrived today which can do downstairs ☺️

They can sleep in many places there. The cavy café, the loft, under/on top of hammock, snuggle sack, defiantly the tunnel, and if they are comfortable enough they can sleep on the fleece anywhere in the cage!
