image.webp image.webp image.webp Ok, Pinky and Diesel were originally going to live outdoors, but I changed my mind and bought an indoor cage 120 x 62cm. They also get an average of 3 - 5 hours combined Indoor and outdoor floor time. (outdoor floor time in small pen. going to build them a run over the next couple of months)
Just finished setting up their cage and wanted some input to check I'm doing the best I can for the girls.
Main floor has a vetbed floor, lidded litter tray, a tunnel, 2 bowls of food (pellets) two cardboard houses and the 2 ramps up to the upper level.
Upper level on one side has a litter tray, hay wrack and another food bowl that I put veggies in.
The other side has a hay feeder wheel that turns, a water bottle and a wee straw house that I think I'm gonna change to a doughnut bed.

One question I do have is about the plastic upper levels.... Are they ok to leave as they are or do I need to put some vetbed on them as well?

i would put the litter tray under the shelf as they are more likely to use it if covered.I would put fleece on the shelves but that is just me, not totally necessary just more comfy

Thanks, I did think about putting the litter tray below, or putting the one with the lid on that level, but I read from a few posts that it can be quite successful having it next to the hay wrack..... I think you are right about the shelves, I think it would be more comfy with fleece or vetbed on it...... I haven't anything at the moment, it'll not do them any harm will it, just walking on the plastic til I get something sorted?

If they pee on the shelves they would be sitting/walking in it, so I would probably put something on them.
