hello peeps.
i have been worried about Rita she will be 4 on the 28th March. he sister died after dental surgery when she was two. last month i took Rita to the vets because i thought she had lost weight. they said she had lost a bit, but nothing to worry about. yesterday i took her to the vets again. they said she had lost more weight and they found a lump in her tummy. it is too risky to do surgery and at the moment, despite her losing weight, she is always the first to the bars for veg when i get home and she still loves eating! the vets said that as long as she is still happy and eating then to leave her be, but she will get to the point where i have to make 'that' decision.
i know they don't live forever, but its still hard. i am just making the most of the time i have with her.
now that i know what is going to happen do i start looking for another pig to bond with them so that Pickle isn't on her own, or do i wait until Rita is gone? i don't want to stress Rita out in anyway.
