I need some advice.
I had two sister pigs together and unfortunately the one passed away from a tumor. Her sister, Penelope is alone now. I have one other guinea pig, Chloe that I received from a friend who could no longer take care of her. She never got along with the pig that passed away so I figured I would try with Penelope. . I put them together in a large neutral space with veggies and hay. But Penelope attacked the other pig so badly that she was bleeding and had to go the vet.
Now I'm worried because Penelope seems depressed being alone but I'm wondering if she would attack another younger pig. Chloe did seem to instigate the fight and she has always been alone even with her past owner so I'm not sure if she is the reason for the attack.
Any ideas on what to do? I don't want to leave her alone if possible.
