New Guinea Owner Wanting Any Advice!

Hi

I have just acquired a gorgeous young man who is about 10 months old. His name is Badger!

I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. My main concern is him being lonely, he has always been on his own but I keep reading that he needs a pal to play with, any thoughts appreciated.

Hello Badger and Mum! Guineas need company, someone to talk to and as they are prey animals which normally live in herds it helps keep their stress levels and fear down! Where are you based? With boys they need to be bonded as boys won't always get on straight away! This involves slow introductions. Many rescues will help with this process! Also is he kept indoors or outdoors? Any pictures of him, can I guess he is black and white !?,!

Thanks for you kind reply. I am based in Nottinghamshire, I have got a local rescue centre who I'm going to speak to tomorrow about introducing a new piggy.
There are so many different thoughts on this I just dont want him to be lonely particularly while I'm at work.
He's an indoor piggy but got a huge cage so plenty of room to run around and have a play mate.
I shall definately go down the route of introducing a new friend to him, he hasnt been with me long so hopefully wont get too stressed. I just dread injuries!
