Hi,

Just wondering if somone can ok this food. My lot just absolutly adore. I'm giving Two handfuls morning and night along with their normal hay and veggies and they are eating less pellets now and are going mad for it. It smells so freshy as well.

Here's the ingredients:
Dried grass, hay residuals, peas, maize, wheat, straw, barley, oats, molasses, arg soya, herbs, carrots, mins and fruit.

Protein 13.4%
Fibre 17.1%
Ash 6.2%
Oil 2.3%

Thanks in advance x

Whats it called ? - perhaps people need to compare the ingredients on the back of their bags to yours.

Hi Hazel! Haven't seen you on for a while. The forum's been playing up and really slow past few days so your post probably been missed.

I remember reading about this brand last year. It's interesting because it's an all natural food one I believe. Where did you get it from? The other things I'd want to know would be calcium content because of girls bladder problems and also Vit C content too because Meggy Moo been on reduced veg she gets lots of Vit C from pellets

I have a bag of this that we use as a treat every couple of days. They love it! :D I am most comfortable using pellets as my main food but it is a really good food from what I can tell.

My lot are funny pigs. Bertie is on Burgess pellets (not B and O flavour he didnt like that!)girls are on harringtons. Just before christmas I had to get some food in a hurry went into P @ h and all they had were their own make. Bertie adores them, the girls dont! I think probably they get fed up with the same brand. I know pellets are only a back up food but Bertie had never had veggies when I got him so he prefers dry food.

Yeah Ive been keeping my head low to be honest. Working hard and started doing a few trainig sessions with the pooch as she' training to be a therapet. Plus my piggies have skin problems so weve been deep cleaning and bathing every two days at two hours every time. But finaly they are getting better and I can stop stressing out as muhc. Gorgeous guineas has been a life line!
The food is from natures own pets. I also got some hay from there which was relatively cheap and honestly it smells so so so good. Theres no nasties in it either. Ok its no lusciously green, but good hay is about the smell more than anything I belive.
Here's the website:

Here's a picture of the food. Its green in real life but gives you an idea of how much more roughage there is than pellets.
Theres no added vit C. Which i personally dont worry about because i still give pellets but have cut them down and of course the daily veggies which is their main source. The company says
"There is no need to add Vitamin C to feeds if the ingredients are natural and of good quality - this food is the proof!
If your usual guineapig food has Vitamin C added, this may be due to the low quality or processed nature of the ingredients. On top of that Vitamin C is unstable and it is dubious how much is left intact by the time it reaches your pet's feeding bowl when added in this way" All of mine dived right in and so did my flat mates piggies and they are very very very fussy. The good thing is it has dried foosd mixed in it as well.
Shall hunt out the pack and see if it gives calcium guidlines for you.
