Youre safest bet is to contact a rescue who have a lone female, alot of rescues do little dates to see which pig is compatible with yours. You are more likely to find a neutered boar doing it this way though and apprently a mixed sex pair is the most successful bond. I'm about to bond a male and female in a few weeks time

Guinea pigs are social animals and should not be kept alone, so your piggy will definitely benefit from having a friend.
When it comes to whether they will get on, it is character which determines that, and if you go out and buy another piggy then you do run the risk of them not being character compatible and you then still end up with two single piggies having to be kept in separate cages.
The best thing is to go to a rescue centre and they can help find a friend for your girl who is character compatible which will result in a good bonding, it may be that she would prefer a neutered male to a female friend, you never know!
