Ok so I adopted a New Guinea pig yesterday and she is 2 months old. I was wondering since we only got one can I still go back a day later and adopt another from the same litter? She is still settling in but i think a friend would help her along the way

Yes - your piggy does need a companion.
As a young piggy she is very dependent on others for her feelings of safety and friendship.
If she has a sister from the same litter that would be good.
Just be absolutely certain you have 2 of the same sex.
If there isn’t another sibling then there are alternatives that we can help you with.
There are a lot of information threads on the forum to help you with caring for your New Guinea pig(s) and we are always happy to help with advice and support
