I've looked at links and things and google searches but , I got some guinea pigs yesterday and they are REALLY shy literally still as a brick stay where you put them and have only just started coming out the house they stayed in there all night and almost all day but in the night one must of eaten and I just seen one eat , I already knew the other one is the shyest and I'm just really worried as I don't think the one has had any food at all and I don't think both of them have had any water *update* the less shy one and more active has had water , the other one has had hay but no proper Feed and no water

Please place hay, veg and pellets close to where they are hiding. Also put a towel over the top and back of their cage to give them a greater feeling of security. As long as they eat veg, they will not dehydrate. Drinking from a bottle is something that youngsters would learn by copying their elders. If they have to figure it out on their own, it takes longer. Give them time to ge ttheir bearing and settle in. Please accept that they have to learn slowly to be pets; it's all new and frightening for them right now.
