new guinea

hi guys ive got a new guinea he his not eating or drinking and when i pick him up he just wants to jump he his 7weeks and i got him at 1oclock today what shell i do I'm conderned from hhim not drinking or eating thanks
 
hes probably scared, he needs time to settle. sometimes they dot eat for a few days when you first get them.

Give him time
make sure his hutch/cage is somewhere quiet and try not to disturb him too much he's going to be scared and will need to get to know and trust you
He will eat and drink probably when you are asleep!
Just give him time and he should be fine!

Flora and Fleur were like this when I first got them. Give him time, he'll go round. :)
 
give him time to settle in and get use to his new surroundings and to you. perhaps get him a friend so he is not lonely and more scared being all alone. as guinea pigs are pack animals and love piggy company. if you get one from a rescue there won't be any quartentine period though introduce them to each other in neutral terrority and slowly. O0 welcome to the forums from me and the girls in oz :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-* if you do get him a friend make sure yours is a him and not a she as at that age it is easy to make a mistake O0
 
let him settle in...give him a day or two....if he doesn't start eating then i would start to get concerned, but just give him some time first :D :D :D good luck...what breed is he?
