New Hay Tray

I thought about doing that, has it got holes in the bottom though?

I've eyed up some gardening potting trays that are huge that I was thinking about using. The more hay the better right? XD

It's good :) They clearly really like it and if it works out well for your maintenance routine then it works!
I have a potting tray and I would have preferred the sides to be a little higher, your dog bed looks like a good combination of mainly being quite high but with a good sized low gap big enough for more than one pig to exit/enter at a time. :)

Looks fantastic. So much hay. I bought a similar one but it was 70cm wide (or just over) hoping to use it across the full width of my 2x6 after the bonding session.
Really liked the high sides, but low entrance, as mentioned above.

Fab!

Every piggy to the hay tray!

:luv::luv::luv::luv::luv: Stunners!

I used one of those for my rabbits but it had holes in the bottom and the wee leaked through the hay and newspaper. Got two small ones for a future (larger) guinea pig cage/set up.

You could put mattress protector under the hay so the wee should soak through. Only trouble I can see is they are brittle, (or am I thinking of the wrong thing) & if you cut it won't the cut bit be sharp.

I use adog/cat bed for the same purpose. Mine has holes in the bottom, I use a thick layer of newspaper and no wee soaks through. It's been a great success with my two as you can get a lovely deep layer of hay in it and they love to burrow.

Yes, Piggiminder. They love to burrow.

I was fluffing up the hay in their bed this morning and picked up a huge handful. It was heavy for hay and found a foot sticking out get week my fingers. It turned out that Fudge blended in well with it and accidentally picked her up with the hay.

I released her unharmed but only after a quick snuggle :)

Fabulous looking hay tray. I love the idea of that - easy to clean, high sides, low moulded entrance. And very happy looking piggies. :luv:

Thank you all. I was wondering if it was too big...all I need now is to take a pic of all five in one go rather than four or lower in one shot.

The two puppy pads lining it take a battering though.

That tray is a excellent idea, piggies look like they love it too.

Have you ever tried Pine Magic (technically cat litter but for small animals too) from Pets Corner? I use that in the hay trays under the hay and it's fab as it absorbs all the wee and odours :) I don't tend to use puppy pads as SOMEONE (looking at you Bella) will chew everything she can get her naughty little paws on XD
