Found this other type of hay in B&M.....£1.99 a bag.. lovely & green.. i mix this with the Meadow Hay from B&M which is 99p a bag.... then as a treat i chuck the expensive timothy hay £9.75 a bag in! 20150920_084448.webp

My boys love the hays from B&M. Glad to see that other people are finding it too! I put it in their hay racks then give them the farm hay to hide in :D

for the price, its really good... we have just had a new B&M open near me but when i looked they didnt stock it but hopefully as they fill the shop more it will be there !

I've started using it to, my other half found the alpha Timothy hay made him wheeze Alot. Since switching to this he's had no wheezing and the pig's love it so everyone is happy! :-)

I recently switched to this! I was thinking about making a thread for it too!
I used P@H home Timothy/normal hay for a long while but I've been finding it's just basically straw now. It's tough and a dull yellow, and my pigs don't seem to like it much. This is lovely and soft and a nice healthy green colour, now my boys are enjoying their hay again!

I only learned what B&M was from this forum and there's one relatively near me. May have to explore tomorrow.

What's the dust content like in this hay and the meadow?

I have not found it to be dusty... Bottom of the bag it gets a bit crappy but that's the very bottom ..

It's not really that dusty, there's a few little bits at the bottom of the bag along with the dried flower heads, but not that much! B&M sell sawdust and a few small animal treats too if you're going for a snoop around!

Thanks guys! I haven't had a hay bag which doesn't get bitty at the bottom so for that price I can't really complain :)

I might try my local b and m today as my piggies have become very fussy with the hay recently. I usually buy the large bale from hay for pets but recently they dont seem too interested and storing it is a bit of a pain too.

Must sound like a stupid question, but what is B&M?

@Kerrie74 the new one near me has it in now..... :yahoo: got some yesterday altho they had priced it up at £3.49 so i checked and it scanned at £1.99 ! It is very nice and green...

My local B&M didn't have the timothy but i went up to Wigan and got some; it was priced at £3.49 on the shelf but came out at £1.99 at the till and they seem to love it. They seem to have gone off the hay for pets ings hay.
