So after building their new house/run, Lacey just wont stay inside it, even after buildingthe side higher, its like she has spring legs so Ive decided on a C&C cage with a top so she cant get out whilst I'm at work.

Here is the link to the current house (built by my step dad) if anyone could use the materials then I am happy to give them away, not much but every little helps. I'm in Twickenham and work in Roehampton, I am happy to travel a bit to meet anyone that can make use of any of it, shame to dump it!

I will be ordering the C&C grids in the next two weeks but thought I would put it out there now so it gives someone a chance to perhaps figure out space they can use it in. :))

B&Q do some good priced grids, we bought some a few weeks ago, makes into a huge cage! Just looked on their website it says in currently out of stock, which is a shame. Good luck with it though.

Lacey you little monkey!
awwwwwwww and i thought your run was magnificent! Someone is going to get some fab material..... you'll have to sell your plans too :)

Ok so a little update, we made it much higher last night but I think I have a super bionic GP, she must have springs in her legs!

She jumped it AGAIN so I had to take the higher peice down as I didnt want her to hurt herself, I knew Mr Darcy wouldnt get out because he is sooooo big and has little legs.....think again! At 4.50am this morning I heard rustling under my bed, knowing it must have been Lacey I got up and went to the fridge knowing that little trick always works but would you adam and eve it.....Mr Darcy made an appearance!

They are both now out running rings around me, I spent ages trying to get them back in but they were having none of it, they were having way too much fun knowing they were being so naughty for mummy.

So as I had to leave work at 7.30am Ive had to close off doors, turn off wires, hide them and tape them all up high and leave them running around the living room! mallethead

I now have the old bars from her old cage so I'm going to attach those tonight so there is no way they can get out and then get that C&C cage made WITH A LID!

I need coffee now...... :laluot_11:

Oh my goodness LOL This had me in stitches LOL, has no one got a key who could go get them? They are going to chew everything in sight!

lol no afriad not, Lacey has been out all day before when she 'escaped' and everything was fine, they are out all day when I'm at home and they generally chase each other or flop on the carpet so I'm not too worried and there really isnt that much they can chew on, if however I find the sofa lop sided and a wooden floor instead of a carpet, I will eat my words! lol

Tee He! Ours reek havoc when they are out, they need constant supervision.

awww i hope they haven't demolished the living room. hopefully you will find them back in their cage :) and now huge holes in the carpet :))

lol I dount they will be back, if Lacey is out on her own and I walk through the door, she jumps back in as if to say...'mum Ive been in all day' but because they are both out, they will both be cheeky and stay out.

I might have to train them to do the housework etc while I'm at work, have the tea on and the wine poured!

The new C&C grids will be here tomorrow (I went for the express delivery) so no more mishaps after tonight, I'm adding some of the old cage bars to the wood to stop them.... :))

now thats a good idea house train them to do the housework. brilliant idea :)
i'd settle for just picking up their poops behind them lol :))

good luck keeping them in tonight :)
