Hi all, I know this question has been asked a lot.

I was looking for opinions on the 2 hutches we have been looking at. We are looking at the chartwell double height (which they currently have) with separate run or a Kendal with run. With either they both have a ramp which our piggies hate so is there anyway we can overcome this? Or is there another hutch anyone can recommend please?

Welcome to the forum

Some piggies will use a ramp, some never will.
Personally I always go for single level hutches and a separate run.
So a single level chartwell (6ft, particularly if you have two boys) and any separate run you like. I tend to use the home & roost website.

I personally wouldn’t ever have another hutch where the hutch and run are attached via ramp (had one many many years ago and hated it). For me they are impractical - difficult to access/clean out, difficult to move (around grass) and the ramps are usually too steep and no good if piggies won’t use them anyway.

If your piggies hate ramps, I don't think that's likely to change. Possible, if you know what exactly they hate. Is it too steep? Put in a much less steep ramp! Are the piggies frightened because the ramps don't have vertical sides? Put in sides!
I don't know what a Chartwell is though, so I don't know if any of that is possible.

I had what we refer to as 'landscapes' rather than cages and it is possible to adjust a ramp going up to a second floor which has a smaller area than the ground floor.
