I have just bought this hutch:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400008427460 I actually brought one of these the other week, wasn’t flat packed, but it is 4ft. I have two on the top and two on the bottom levels. How many piggies would you personally house in this? I am not going to spilt the levels, so it will be an open one. I have new 3 babies (not from my piggies) which I might put in it. The hutch and this one will be housed in my bedroom as they all live inside, but I think they look much nicer than the cages I have now. I just hope it goes together ok as it’s flat packed! What do you think on the size and am I just curious how many piggies do you think would be comfortable in here? Thanks.

true, i think most of my cages are just under 2 ft or something like that.i think 3 piggies would be perfectly comfy in this double hutch.

I think if you're using the ramp, 3 piggies would be ok if they're littl'uns but then if you're using the ramp you also lose floor space on both levels....

i would keep the run. with my other hutch i have four in their, but no ramp. I have a routine now, as i have 14 pigiges, that they have turns in the runs, so stay in the run in the other bedroom for 2 nights each, this way they get plenty of exercise for 2 days, then they stay in the hutch for 2 nights etc, though i get them out for cuddles etc daily.

Well what a load of rubbish this hutch is. It was delivered yesterday and as soon as we took it out of the box, there is a very large hole on the backing panel, not gone right through as it seems double sided, and three of the doors dont lock and there is another spilt on one of the other panels. I am very disappointed with the quality of this hutch. I have emailed the company to complain. I am not sending it back though, as it will probably cost me around £15 to send back, so other half is going to have to make a back panel and sort the doors out for me.Has anyone else ordered from this company?

It possible could have been damaged through the post, but it was packaged quite tightly and was all padded out, but the door latches were definatley not done right.

I have this hutch & paid £84.99 for it from a pet shop so if yours had been in good condition when it arrived it would have been a bargain. Its a great hutch very sturdy although you do lose a bit of space due to the hole in the floor of the top tier for the ramp.I've also got the hutch hugger for this hutch.Which is great for the bad weather although I've bought my 2 guineas in for the winter as I hate going out in the awful weather to clean them out & feed them.

Couldn't you take pictures of the hutch as it was when you opened it and send it to the company along with a letter of complaint ?
