Hi all

I originally bought 2 girls, however Pippa became a Mummy of 4 (3g's & 1b) 4wks ago.

They've only ever had P@H nuggets, Spring Greens, Carrots & Cabbage but I'm not sure what else GP's can have (although I do know they cant have lettuce)....help is really appreciated.

if you look at the top of the food section there are lots of reviews for different dry food brands.
as for fresh food, guinea lynx http://www.guinealynx.info/charts.html is a good site with a complete pig care guide including suitable foods for them to eat.

They can have lettuce. Romaine is the best, curly type lettuces are good too. It is iceberg lettuce they cant have, full of water and no nutrition with a tendency to give piggies the runs. Congratulations on your new family. xxxxx

Oh right, thank god for that *** we've been growing all our own stuff & I wanted them to try lettuce.....I will now give it to them. Thankyou so much x

Ive just looked at these charts which is most interesting.I didnt realise guinea pigs could have pine apple or cucumber or lots of different things i hadnt thought of....Things that would be nice for them in the hot weather

I know they can have loads of different stuff. As a rule though, I generally go easy on fruit, this is more of a treat, as it can make them a bit runny (and not on their feet!) he he. xx
