So the guineas went along with the kids for a couple of days holidays to Granny & Grandas whilst I indulged in a Spa break (heaven!). When the piggies came home they were so excited to find that they had two litter trays for the back corners of the cage, to hold their hay, snuggle down in, and making it a little easier for us to clean back there. ;)

Little things amuse the innocent. Much popcorning and general joyfulness did ensue.

They seem popular, gorgeous piggies by the way!

It's funny, cos the last two sort of containers I used for hay didn't create much of a stir at all; but they LOVE these ones. Crazy piggies. 8;)

OMG IT'S A BABY PIGGY! drool

:)) She's about 10wheeks old now, growing up fast! Weighed in at 413gms today, putting on 27gms in a wheek. :)

A complete diva to boot; while Splat will come over to the side of the cage and look at you whilst wheeking for food; Nutmeg will hear the rattles of the bag and stand where she is wheeking like the diva that she is expecting food to arrive infront of her, prompto! rolleyes:))

Glad you posted the photos; I have been thinking about buying two, one each for Red's preferred corners, but did not know how that low front edge would do, if the edge would discourage him from using it.

I've been using these for holding the hay. Whilst the piggies like them and they are handy, they do get pretty manky, even when cleaning them out every day.

awww love the pigtures. do they use it as a toilet then or just play in them?

I have one of these for hay and the pigs love them, they usually drag the hay out and then sleep in it and also use it as a toilet. They do get quite manky but are easy to clean out xx

Hehehe looks like they're enjoying their new litter tray x)

No bother to wee Nutmeg popping in and out of them. They really do enjoy them, which I didn't expect at all.

I find them quick and handy to clean. I like the hay down where the pigs can naturally forage through it; some clean stuff can also be put into toilet roll holders split down the side. I put some newspaper in the bottom of the tray with hay on top. Hay gets topped up during the day, then in the evening I just lift the tray, tip the lot into the bin, quick spray and wipe down; fresh newspaper and hay and that's it. Much easier that reaching back and taking dirty bedding etc out from those back corners by hand.

They seem to toilet in one more than the other, which they toilet infront of. Perhaps they are keeping that one clean for eating whilst the other gets slept in more, I dunno. :))
