Yesterday, we adopted this cute little neutered boar from RSPCA. He's around 6-12 months old. He is obviously still very skittish around us but it was one of the easiest bonding we had with the other piggies. Put him straight in the cage and Sierra and Cookie just sniffed him for a few minutes then continued with what they were doing. I didn't even have to put them in neutral ground or freshly clean the cage! Meet our new little furry boy Rocky (named after Red Rock Canyon and he has red eyes!). 😍😍😍

Rocky was part of a trio of brothers. RSPCA couldn't get any interests for the 3 boars. So hubby decided to adopt one. Hopefully the other 2 brothers would get to be adopted now that they are just a pair. The other 2 boars look like our Prince who passed away last month so we decided to get Rocky. His name was Gavin and we didn't like the sound of it for him haha. 😂

After 2 days of being here, we already allowed him to roam the living room with Cookie and Sierra (we closed off all the areas where they are not allowed). We definitely know now that Cookie is the boss. Rocky doesn't even try to chase her (but they sometimes stay in one box together). Cookie nipped him once when he tried to get too close with her unknowingly, he didn't do it again haha. It was poor Sierra who get to be chased all the time though. Oh the noise that Sierra makes! 😂

We’ve got until the 20th to wait for intro with Jess and Luigi, hope all goes all smoothly as yours and your gorgeous piggies :D
Think Jess was in heat yesterday and Luigi was VERY excitable! Chewing cage bars and lots of rumbles! She couldn’t hear a peep of course but loves his smells from the look of it!

Glad all gone so well and sure Prince would approve of the handsome Rocky :) (and hope Sierra getting a rest today!) xx

We were out for the day and when we got back home, Sierra was in the 2nd floor of the hutch, Rocky was at the bottom floor of the hutch, and Cookie was at the attached C&C by the floor. I think they've all had a quiet day! 😂😂

Good luck with Luigi and Jess! Not long now before they get together. ❤️❤️

They’ve definitely got enough space to escape each other with your brilliant set up :) glad they’ve had a good day of peace :)

Thanks a lot, not long and fingers crossed! x

Thank you all for your messages about Rocky. Sierra is happier now after we lost Prince and while Cookie is still recovering (hopefully) from the very nasty abscesses she kept on having since March. We adopted Rocky because Sierra is quite getting lonely coz Cookie is still not well and she has no other playmate. It was a good thing Sierra is still eating despite being lonely. Now that Rocky is here to play with her, at least worrying about the piggies is a bit less.
